Dwolla is a payment service, very similar to Paypal, however, it has a great benefit - when you give, 100% of your giving goes to the church.
Whenever we give online, we need to use a credit card processor, like Paypal or Givelify. Although they make giving easier, they also charge a percentage for each transaction.
See the info graphic below.
You can use the new Dwolla giving form online to make your offerings, just like you did before with Paypal or Givelify.
Just like our current online giving process, you will complete your offering by clicking the submission button at the bottom of the form. Instead of taking you to Paypal, you will go to Dwolla's site instead to complete the transaction.
In your own account, you can also setup a recurring payment for your regular contribution and also a separate recurring payment for your special missions payment to make it easier to meet your goals each year. You can add a note in the memo to remind you what the payment is for. This also serves as a great tax record for your own taxes at the end of the year.
Visit dwolla.com to find out more information and to set up your account.
We will be removing Givelify as a giving option. Instead, you can give just as simply by creating a Dwolla account and using their mobile app to give on your mobile devices. You can find the Dwolla app for Windows, Android, and iOS in their respective app stores.
After August 31, 2016, we will no longer be using Paypal or Givelify and will be closing those accounts. If you give online, please take a moment to set up your account.
If you have questions, please call or email Phat Vuong, 410.209.0561 or email@example.com. You can reply to this email to make it simple.
We will also be providing some tech help days after services on Sundays and Wednesdays to help you create your account or answer any questions.
Thanks for being part of our goal of excellent financial stewardship.
